Labcorp Integration — Production Launch

  • What’s live: Direct integration with Labcorp is now available in production.

  • How to get started: Practices should contact their Labcorp sales representative to determine eligibility and expected ordering volume.

  • Enablement: Once approved by Labcorp, then Labcorp will reach out to DocVilla Support to complete connectivity and mapping.

Charge Virtual Cards (VCC) from Payers

  • What’s new: Accept and process virtual credit cards received from payers.

  • Where to enable: Setup → Enc Setup → Payment

  • Notes: Ensure appropriate user permissions and follow your internal posting workflow for payer-originated VCCs.

Encounter & Patient Logs

  • View deleted encounters in patient audit history.

    • Path: Patient Profile → View Audit Logs → Misc Encounter Changes

Encounter Status

  • Added “Patient Not Reachable” badge to Encounter Status tags for clearer team communication and follow-up tracking.

RxScreen Tasks

  • New Tasks tab in RxScreen to view workflow items across:

    • Pharmacy Change Requests

    • Pending Prescriptions

    • and other taskable prescription actions

Inventory Exports

  • Export Inventory Transaction History for reconciliation and reporting.

    • Path: switch role to Account Admin → Inventory → History → Export

  • Infrastructure rollout: Backend and UI scaffolding to support Labcorp connectivity.

  • Required fields: Added additional data elements requested by Labcorp to improve message conformance and certification readiness.

Sticky Note (Pop-Up Alert) for Patients

  • What it does: Displays a pop-up note whenever staff open a patient’s profile or encounter.

  • Where to find:

    • Patient Profile → Add Note, or

    • Patient Encounter → ActionsAdd Sticky Note

  • Use cases: Important flags, copay/deductible information, special handling instructions, or other high-visibility reminders tied to the patient record.

Wender Utah Scale

  • Location: Patient Encounter → Diagnosis InfoScreening

  • Purpose: Enables standardized screening using the Wender Utah Scale within the encounter workflow.

Patient Communication Controls

  • What it does: Ability to block patient correspondence and communications (e.g., automated reminders) at the patient level.

  • When to use: Honor do-not-contact requests, reduce messages during specific care plans, or comply with practice policies.

Minor Changes

  • Copy PE/ROS: Ability to copy Physical Exam (PE) and Review of Systems (ROS) from previous encounters.

  • Medication/Problem Tags: Added “Current” and “Past” tags in Medications and Problem List for clearer visibility and faster chart review.

Labcorp Integration Readiness

Dynamic Location Working Hours

  • What’s new: Practice admins can now dynamically set and adjust working hours for any location in the practice.

  • Why it matters: More precise availability by location, better coverage management, and fewer scheduling conflicts.

Shadow Provider (for Multi-Provider Practices with Custom Patient Portals)

  • What’s new: Patients can book an appointment with the practice (not a specific provider).

  • Workflow: After booking, office staff can assign the appointment to an appropriate provider based on availability, specialty, or internal routing rules.

  • Benefit: Smoother patient booking experience and improved load balancing across providers.


Minor UI Changes

  • Calendar: Canceled appointments now display in red for immediate visibility.

  • Appointments: Added Checked Out status to reflect end-of-visit state.

  • Superbill: The practice phone number now appears on the superbill for easier patient follow-up.

  • Custom Tags for Patient Filtering
    Practices can now create and assign custom tags to patients for easier filtering and categorization. Navigate to Setup → Enc Setup → Misc to create tags such as Medical Practice, Mental Health, Location 1, Location 2, Home Health, Medication Management, etc. Then go to the patient’s profile under Basic Details to assign tags. Patients can be filtered by tags from the left panel or the top-right search box in the Patients tab – Knowledge Base

  • Patient PRN# Available in Template Macros
    The Patient PRN# can now be used as a macro in Other Templates. Navigate to Setup → Enc Setup → Custom Templates → Other Templates to add it.

  • Improved Viewing for Large Fax Files
    Large fax PDFs have been optimized to allow for smooth viewing without compromising file quality.

  • Home Phone Number Field Added
    A new Home Phone field has been added to the Patient Profile in addition to the existing mobile number.

  • UI Change Patient Name

    In the Patients tab, the patient name will now be displayed as Last Name, First Name Middle Name

  • Bulk Sign Off Encounters

    Ability to Bulk Sign Off the encounters. Please login as a Provider and go to Consults tab. Please note a maximum of 15 encounters can be bulk signed off.

  • General Bug Fixes
    This release includes various minor bug fixes to enhance overall performance and system stability.

  • New Encounter Status Badges
    Introduced new badges such as Payment Complete to quickly reflect the current status of each encounter.
  • Custom Template Creation for Clinical Sections
    Practices can now build custom templates for Review of Systems (ROS), Social History, Chief Complaint/HPI, and Physical Exam.

  • AIMS Screening for Psychiatric Practices
    The AIMS (Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale) screening tool is now available.
    Navigate to: Encounter Diagnosis Info → Screening → AIMS
  • Graphs for Psychiatric Screenings
    Visual trend graphs for PHQ-9 and GAD-7 screening questionnaires are now available.
    Navigate to: Encounter Diagnosis Info → Screening → Trends
  • Custom Vaccine Routes and Sites
    Practices can now define and document custom vaccine administration routes and injection sites for custom records.
  • New Document Categories
    Added new document types such as Ultrasound and Blood Pressure Log for improved categorization and retrieval.
  • Unit-Based CPT Billing Calculation
    The system now supports automatic calculation of total amounts based on CPT fee schedules and number of units per day.
    Navigate to: Diagnosis Info → Diagnosis → Add Existing CPT → Click ‘Calculate’
  • Customizable Patient Email Messages
    Practices can now personalize email messages sent to patients.
    Navigate to: Setup → Enc Setup → Misc.
  • Hide Video Link for Telehealth Emails
    For practices offering only telephone consults, the Join Video button in telehealth emails can now be hidden to avoid confusion.
    Navigate to: Setup → Enc Setup → Misc.
  • Flexible Appointment Scheduling
    Appointments can now be scheduled at any custom time (e.g., 1:53 PM or 2:11 PM), not just in 15-minute intervals.
    Navigate to: Patients → Create Quick Encounter →  Type 01:53 PM in step 5 Appt Time
  • Save Preferences for Encounter Summary Printouts
    Providers can now save their content preferences when printing detailed encounter summaries.
    Navigate to: Encounter → Actions → Print Forms → Encounter Detailed Summary → Save Preferences
  • Patient Demographics in Internal Notes Printouts
    Printed internal notes now include patient demographic details for more complete documentation.
